About Us – Queen of Humanity Cross River Beauty Pageant
Welcome to the Queen of Humanity Cross River Beauty Pageant, a project initiated by Her Excellency, Rev. Mrs. Eyoawan Bassey Otu, the Wife of the Governor of Cross River State. Our pageant is a celebration of the positive qualities embodied by women and a platform to promote humanity through their endeavors.
Contest Brief
Driven by Her Excellency’s longstanding passion for humanity, the Queen of Humanity Cross River Beauty Pageant aims to empower and train young Nigerian girls to embrace the values of compassion, love for nature, and respect for humanity. Taking place in the picturesque city of Calabar, the pageant will feature 37 contestants representing various states of the federation, including Abuja.
Pre-Event Activities
The journey begins with online registration through our website, www.queenofhumanitycrs.org. Auditions will be held in different regions – Lagos (South-West), Abuja (North), and Calabar (South-South). Qualifying contestants will be invited to a two-week camp in Calabar, where they will undergo intensive training, and catwalk lessons, engage in humanitarian lectures, explore tourist sites in Cross River State, and have the privilege of meeting esteemed celebrities.
Main Event Activities

The main event promises an electrifying showcase, featuring segments such as:
- Fashion Show
- Traditional Wear
- Evening Gown
- Swimwear
- Wits
Voting Process
We value the opinions of our audience, and therefore, the selection of our Queens is a collective effort. The voting process is divided into three categories:
- Judges – 30%
- Text Messages and Social Media – 60%
- Audience Seated on the Day of the Event – 10%
Post Event Activities
The crowned Queen of Humanity Cross River Beauty Pageant will serve as a prominent ambassador for humanity in Nigeria for a period of one year. Her mission will be to champion initiatives aimed at alleviating the challenges faced by street children, the less privileged, and those in need. Additionally, she will actively engage with the media to address critical humanitarian issues and advocate for positive change in our society.
